Printing onto acyrlic

After my crit it was suggested I tried printing onto plastic or acetate as it wouldn't rust like metal when it got in contact with water. So I have looked into printing onto acrylic, this extract is from the book:

Foiling can be added onto acyrlic and it can be screen printed onto, I think if I was to continue with this brief I would try that.
Acyrlic could also be a good material to work with as it can be shaped and moulded quite easily and it comes in a lot of different colours so it could cut the cost of printing as the acyrlic can count as one of the colours in the design, so in my design I could use a blue acyrlic as my base colour.
