Design for Print Workshop 1

-These sessions are going to focus on InDesign as it is the programme
that brings everything together when designing for print.

- Bleed is something you will need to talk to printers about when sending work to 
commercial print as they will all require different amounts of bleed.

-Primary text frame will put a text box on each page of your document, the size
of the the text fram is decided by the margin size, it also links all the text frames
together on each of the pages.

-To print slug area you need to check it on the marks and bleeds section of the
print dialogue box.


 -Short cut to change the leading is cmd+alt and the up and down arrows,

-Photoshop Images
300 dpi
CMYK or Greyscale
TIFF or PSD not JPEG
Actual Size

-Illustrator
CMYK
.AI file or copy and paste

- ALT and double clicking the image it takes you back to the original
image in Photoshop.
Re-size your image in Photoshop and make sure it has the correct DPI.

-When sending your InDesign file to print or moving it package it so it keeps 
all the files together.
