Precious Brief-Brainstorm

Precious Brief, Initial ideas and Meeting

I went over a few ideas for the Precious brief and had a quick initial chat with Alex and Rufus
from Precious about what they wanted.
There is a meeting with everyone next week so I should have clearer direction by then.

Tigerprint Patterns

I've started to put my elephant illustration into patterns to submit
to the tigerprint brief, I am going to work on them some more before I
submit but I would like to get them done by the end of the week.

Brief Writing-Statement/Product,Range,distribution

To focus our briefs and to make sure we were covering 
all our needs and wants, we had a brief writing workshop.
It was also help us to write up our briefs in a concise and
focused way for our rationale. 

Wants/Needs Sheets

We had to write a lists of 20 needs and wants for different areas
we will have to think about this year, skills, products, portfolio,
research and questions.
It was done to help us focus our briefs and make sure we
fulfill our needs and wants during this year with the briefs 
that we choose.

Promotional Material

We were asked to have our business card and promotional material pinned
up on the wall at 9.30 this morning.
Our promotional material had to reflect us as a designer, I decided to use
on of my illustrations and screen print it, it shows that my interests and skills
lie in illustration and print based deign.
I also foiled the back with my details on it which I am happy I did
because it stands out on the wall and can be seen from the other side
of the room.

One of the themes that the competition suggest you could
explore is animal inspired prints, I have been working on some
elephant illustrations over the summer so decided to use one
of them for the print.
