Progress

At the moment there is not a lot of designing going on as most of the work I am doing at the moment is research that will inform my design work. Over on my design context blog I have been looking into the shipping forecast in more detail, at the moment the aspect of it that is interesting me the most is the vocabulary that is used, I am going to focus more into that part of it and see if I can/need to narrow it down anymore.

Developing my idea

After brainstorming my ideas I ended up focusing on the BBC radio stations, I didn't know if focusing on a station was still to broad, I went to talk to Lorraine and she said I needed to narrow it down more, so I went from radio, to BBC radio, to radio 4, to shows on radio 4, to the shipping forecast. I am not going to focus on the shipping forecast and see what I can find out.

Feedback

After giving my presentation this is the feedback my group gave me, I think so relevant things were said and interesting points on where I should take my project were raised.

Possiblities for me to focus on could be a perticular station, show or DJ, the dialect and language used on the radio, adverts or waves and frequency. I'm going to brainstorm as many ideas as I can think of and see what I end up with.

What is Good...
