Stop Frame Jumpers

Jumpers from Francesca Pecqueur on Vimeo.

I used my new skills I learnt in our video workshop to make a stop frame in relation to my collection 100 project, I took continuous shot photos of a person putting on lots of jumpers and then removing them again, I put them together on quick time and this was the outcome, I am pretty happy with it seeing as I had never done this until a few days ago.

Infographics Workshop

Amber did an infographics workshop with us, we had to categories different things and then asign them all a shape, when we started to put the shapes togather in a chart it started to become something that was visually engaging and also communicated data.

Today I learnt how to make a stop frame video

Today I learnt how to Knit

As I am looking at jumpers I thought it was only right that I learn how to knit so I could see how jumpers are made. My wonderful knitting genius of a friend Lilli gave me some lessons and I am now hooked, hopefully I will be ablt to knit my own jumper one day!

Visual Language-Grids, layout, Typography

We were asked to take a magazine or newspaper article and design new layouts for it. First I designed thumb nail sketches of possible layouts for the article and then chose one final one to re-create on a larger scale. I considered the different areas of the article, thinking about what  point size to use and leading.

Visual Language-Grids, layout, Typography

We started off by taking a newspaper and using a few different layouts within it, tried to work out the grid that is used throughout the paper.

Using a type measure...
...we measured three different sizes of text on one page of the paper.

For the heading the measurements we got were:
Text- 67.5pt
Leading- 39pt
=
 67.6pt/104pt

For the side heading the measurements were:
Text-30pt
Leading-20pt
=
30pt/50pt

For the main text the meaurements were:
Text size-6pt
Leading-1pt
=
6pt/7pt
